I did it

I did it .......I`m finally don with my parents album . It`s been a big project and a lot of work putting 151 photos together on 47 pages.
I have used 113 piece of paper, 150 brads, 168 flowers, 64 eyelets and 23 buttons ....not to mention all the ink, ribbons and scrappers floss, but it`s been all worth it.
I`m satisfiede with the way the album turn out so now I just hope my parents likes it to.

Finally holiday

Today at 11.30 am I said merry christmas to all my colleagues and all the kids and went home....now I don´t have to lisen to kids bawling, yelling, , crying and argueing because I´m finally having holiday until the 2 january 2007........but it also means that I have to live without my daily hugs, smiles and laughter from 14 little kids........don`t get me wrong I love my job as pedagogue in a day nursery but sometimes it´s a really noisy, demanding and stressful job, so I`m really looking forward to spenting time with my family and to relax

I`m still working on my parents album and I still have to make 4 more pages......so I think I´m going to make it before christmas........take a look of the last 3 I made.

Christmas card

Last night I made these christmas card and gift tags. It´s the first time I have try to make christmascard and I´m very satisfied with the way they turn out.

Christmas dreamcrop

yesterday I was to christmas dreamcrop at Dreampapers....as always is was 12 hours full with scrapping, at lot of fun, great food, hot gifts and lovely company.
I made 3 layouts and a dobbel layout...so it was a busy day.

weekend

Yesterday morning I drove to Scrapshop in Roskilde. It´s a one hour drive each way. I wanted to pick up my layouts they had lend for a exhibition in the shop. I thought I could do a little bit of shopping .......just a little bit ;O)
I actually didn`t have time for this, I had to get home and clean the house because we have invited guests for dinner, but I thought what the ...... and I hoped that my husband had done the cleaning when I came home.
When I came home my husband had started the cleaning and he had another suprice for my....he was going to make stuffed turkey for dinner, because I had complain that I didn`t get real christmas food this year. We are going to spent christmas eve at his family and they are eating duck and roast pork for christmas and that is not real christmas food in my opinion!!
Do I need to tell I just love that man......we had a great evening wiht our friends.

still working on Australia

well I`m still working on my parents album about Australia and it´s going in the right direction so I think I will be finish before christmas. Take a look at the last 2 I have made

Christmas spirits

Yesterday I was in such a christmas spirits, so I made this advent wreath and this christmas decoration with calendar candel, so now I only have to do some christmas shopping and make some christmas cards and then I`m ready ;O)

Design assignments

I got a design assigments from DreamPapers. I had to use some lovely christmas papers from One heart One mind and some ribbons from the shop.....so I ad some cardstock,brads, flowers from Prima and came up with these layouts

more Austaralia

This weekend I have manage to do some more pages to my partents album between the laundry, housecleaning, dishes and a birthday party at my mother in law.....take a look

4" x 6" photos

The last couple of days I been working on my parents album about their trip to Austaralia last summer. I hope I can finish the album before christmas because I think it will be a nice gift to give them and I`m tired of working with only 4" x 6" photos.
So far I made 32 pages......here is the one I made yesterday

wet weekend

last Friday my family and I the car to Lalandia a holliday resort with a big waterpark on Lolland(a part of Denmark).
We had a great weekend with a lot of fun, swimming and my daughter hang out at the skating rink while her daddy and I drank hot chocolate in the cafe.

By the way I been working on this little book.........it is most for fun and for trying this disstress technique.

The book is made by big homemade fildfolders. The pages are put togheter by stitching them on my sewing machine.



















I have also made this layout of my daughter to a doodling contest at dreampapers, where I got a second place

weekend in Jutland

Last friday I took a plane to Jutland to viset my good friend Netti. It was great seeing her again and we had a pleasant time together.
Saturday we went to a mini convention in Randers. We were about 20 scrapper and it was funny. We did some shopping and scrapping.
I made this layout from our holliday in Lalandia.



















I also made this layout. Journal goes like this My scraproom is 14 square meter and has and 4 meter long tabel. I love to sit by my tabel and scrap. other times I just sit there and look at all my flowers. The flowers inspire me and make me happy. Yes I have a flowerfetich, but the flowers are beautiful and they don´t need water ,O).


















I have to admit that the photos on the layout isa bit old. They are from september and my room dosen`t look like that anymore. I now have some more shelfs and one more disk....take a look

Halloween dreamcrop

yesterday I went to dream crop again for 12 hours. This time the team was Halloween and a lot of the ladies were dress out as witches and monsters. They look so funny.We got lovely gifts, did a lot of scrapping, got great food and we also played "Bingo" where I was so lucky to win twice some pens from zig and some beautiful Christmas paper from Sandi lion.
We also had a challenge where we should make a layout with 3 different kind of patted paper and 3 different kind of cardstock.I made this layout and won the price, which was a clear stamp alphabet. On hidden tags I wrote the stories behind the photos........my daddy wanted to take a photo of my daughter, but she wouldn’t .......it only took him 31 minutes to get his photo.
I also made this double layout of my daughter. I find the idea to this in "Hall of fame".The journal goes like this : Almost 10.........10 years of watching you grow....lead you the way....teach you about the little and big things in life......comfort you....encourage you...read bedtime stories for you....laugh with you...allowing you to make mistakes.....to let go and let you stand on your own feet......it’s melting my heart when you....smile at me...when you have success with the things you do.....when you say "sorry mom".....when you say "I can do it"....when you give me a hug and tell that you love me.........my little girl is grow into a big girl.




















By the way did I mention that my doodling class last Monday was a success. There were 17 student and they all were so sweet and they did a lot of doodling. I had a great time and dreampapers ask me to do another class in January.

convention on Funen

Yesterday I went to a scrapbooking convention on Funen ( a part of Denmark). It´s a 2½ hours trip by car from my home but it was all worth it.
I went to have fun,to shop, to meet some of my scrapbooking friends and most of all to take my friend Netti by surprise. She came all the long way from Jutland(another part of denmark) to this convention and didn´t know that I would be there.
It was so funny to se her face when she saw me.......and we had a great day with a lot of fun and shopping.

I made this layout of a day in my daughters life. I found a old note, where I had been writing down what she did and eat that day back in june 1997........so I made a some tags with the journal from the note.

I also made this layout " mom ninni is turning 1 today" My daughter wanted us to celebrate that her teddy bear "Ninni" turned 1 year, so we did.

I was so lucky to win the third place for best layout.

I had a lot of photos from an old trip to Crete and I wasn`t in the mood for a minialbum, so I made this layout. It has 3 flaps.

weekend

I have been sick the last two days.
I have catch a cold and got fever, but today I was feeling a little bit better so I made this mini album. I got the idea from the internet, but I don`t remember where I found it.

This Friday I said goodbye to my dear colleague and friend, becauce she was moving to Jylland with her husband. He had got a great job over there. I`m really going to miss her, we meet a the pedagogues`college and we have been friends since.
I made her this card and handbag, so she wouldn`t forget me.

Practise doodling

All week I have practise doodling because it´s for sure now that I`m going to do a class in doodling at Dreampapers on the 23 October. I thought it was going to be in December, so now I`m begining to feel the nervousness.

I made this layout and is about the thoughts there went through my head right before I started my second education as pedagogue at agee 28 (back in 2001)

scrapping with friends

I was scrapping together with 6 off my best scrapbúddies last night in my favorit store Dreampapers. It was my good friend Runa who had invited me to this gathering, because she won a 3 hours scrap event last time we participated in dreamcrop at the store.
It was so funny and I made this layout, which is a lot different from they one I normally do.

A trip to Sweden

Yesterday I took the ferry to Helsinborg in Sweden ( it only take 25 minutes) where my parents live. It was great to se my mother again, I havn`t seen her for a long time ( about a month). I stay overnight and today my mother and I went to a Scrapbooking and stamp convention. I spent a lot of money again and got some very nice goodies. Take a look

tonight I made this layout to my book of me. I got the idea from "Scrapbook Shortcuts with quizzes & questions". It´s a funny special issue of Simpel Scrapbooks and a great way to get new ideas.

Back to work

Yesterday I vent back to work. My foot seems to be okay. It still hurts a little bit, but not much. It was great to be back and lovely to be welcome be 13 little smiling faces when I entered the door.
